Hi I’m still testing the plugin before deciding to use it and already a basic bug appears,

I created 3 subscription plans A B C, A is a base and the other two are upgrades.

Created a page and restricted it to B

Created a user and gave them plan A

When trying to view the page it says access level is less than needed, which is great and correct, then I went to modify the same user and gave them plan B (same as needed for the page) but now the user still can’t see the page, and it says they don’t have permission to view it. Same when I gave the user plan C, which is supposed to be highest access levels. Please note the change to the user account was made through an admin account.

No other plugins are installed on the site.
    Suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Hi @mar1ak10,

Please go to WordPress Dashboard-> Plugins-> Installed Plugins-> and send a screenshot with everything you have installed related to PMS.

Go to PMS-> Members-> and please check if the user with whom you viewed the page has a plan B with Active status.

Sorry but I’ve already mentioned the answers to your requests in the initial post. Here’s the screenshot showing that only the base plugin is installed as mentioned. And regarding your second request I have tried giving the member all subscription plans nothing works unless the member logs in and resubscribes to plan B themselves. If anything is done through the admin account what I mentioned in the initial post happens.
    Working on WordPress 6.5.2

    Thanks,

If you could copy that above link I made a recording showing the process and what I see.

    Hi @mar1ak10,

A member subscribed to subscription plan C will be able to see a page only if you choose plan C in the “Display for” option, please take a look at this screenshot: https://snipboard.io/c0C8fp.jpg

Even if plan C is an upgrade to plan B, you must still select plan C within the content restriction settings to ensure that members subscribed to plan C can access that page.

Hi @madalinaruzsa and thanks for your response. Doesn’t that sound like a bug to you when a higher plan can’t access a lower plan’s content? Also, please see this screenshot. Would you be able to test it yourself by creating a similar setup?

    Hello @mar1ak10,

This is how it works, we don’t take into account the hierarchy for content restriction. This is only used to have a tier system through which one can upgrade and downgrade.

Regarding your content restriction issue, go to PMS -> Members -> click on the user you say it can’t see restricted content -> Edit Subscription and send us a screenshot. Then go to the post you want to restrict and show us how the Content Restriction settings look.

    Regards.
