• I have an issue where, after publishing a post or page, the content will duplicate itself above the footer and below the body of the page. So I basically have super-long webpages and the extra content cannot be deleted.

This is only visible on the published page while the “Visual” and “Text” edit sections are completely normal.

I have disabled ALL plugins, reverted to 2017 theme and done a health check but I can’t see what could be causing the issue. I’ve also created new pages and it still persists.

Does anyone know why? Thanks so much!

    Hi michael5211,

It looks like you have accidentally messed up the shortcodes either for that post by manually editing under the “text tab” or you have a child theme where you’ve added some content that should be in every post?

Anyway, I counted 3 copies at the link you provided, and at the bottom of the post you can see this partial shortcode: [/vc_column][/vc_row]

Those improperly place closing brackets are whats causing your content to duplicate, I’m sure. Try disabling your theme builder plugin and see if your content still duplicates?

Hi James, thanks so much for your reply.

I noticed that shortcode too, but what’s strange is I’m pretty sure I never altered the text tab in fear that something like this might happen. I exclusively use the theme builder plugin. However, even when I disable this plugin (and all the others) the problem still persists.

I’ve been in touch with the editor plugin team and they agreed the problem was nothing to do with them. It’s really frustrating because whenever I use the text editor to remove the extra shortcode snippets, more come back to replace them.

    Any ideas?
