content printed multiple times when using mod rewrite

    Hi everyone,
    Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. When i enable mod rewrite urls using /%category%/%postname%/ articles are printed twice on the page.

    That may not be clear, what i mean is… When a single article is viewed it is displayed properly and the comment box is shown below it but then directly below the comment box the same article starts again and another comment box is shown. This happens only when i use mod rewrite urls but if i use the default ?p=xxxx the same articles display just fine.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this fixed?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Thanks for the response. I didn’t get a mail telling me anyone had responded that’s why i;ve only just checked back. Anyway i tried what you suggested but i only had two plugins installed and active so it was quick an easy. It wasn’t the problem but i changed the permalink structure to have .html on the end and it just fixed it like that…. everything is exactly the same i’ve made no changes except for the permalinks an it seemed to have sorted it.

    Might be a bug but i’m not sure again thanks for responding.
