Content on homepage remains with text “Resolved”

Have you tried to deactivate all the plugins, activate the Twenty Seventenn theme, and see if this Resolving message is still there?

That’s not a WordPress .htaccess file.

it turns out the site didn’t have one. I managed to create one but all it contains is this:

Would you know where I can find the data the file needs to contain?

Permissions for the htaccess file are set to 644.
“User” is set to have permission to read and write, but currently “execute” is not clicked.

I linked the codex article on WP’s .htaccess file, above. The file should be in the root of your wordpress site, the same directory with wp-config.php, etc.

I have placed the file in the root of the site, and pasted in the data from the WP codex which I know works on other of my WP sites (different hosting company), but I get the same error.

Please contact your host; this may be some sort of server configuration problem.
