Content of popup loads on page load

    Hi,
    We use popup maker to display (youtube)videos on our site. There are a number of videos that we want to display when the user clicks different links on page.

    However pop-up maker loads all these videos on page load and not on click of the link which opens the pop-up. As a result the total load time for the page is increasing and making the site slower.

    Is there any way we could make the popmaker contents load only when the popup opens.

    I believe the only way to do this would be via our Remote Content Extension. Check out our Remote Content Docs for more details and settings info.

    Although, I’ll have our Lead Dev @danieliser chime in here just to confirm this.

    @poojaraikar – Remote content would work perfect. It has an iframe option that is pretty customizable and we have a big update coming that will make the iframe mode much more flexible for different types of content.

    Thank you for your quick response.
    Just wanted to confirm whether the iframe option will work with ‘X-Frame-Options’ set to ‘SAMEORIGIN’.

    @poojaraikar – Well no, if the have blocked you loading their content in an iframe the browser prevents it from doing so, not us. No way to circumvent the browser security. IE you generally can’t load google via an iframe, doesn’t matter if its in a popup or on the page itself.

    That said I am working on a new video extension that will be test ready this week and will work perfect with Remote Content. Will eventually support things like going to the next targeted link and loading it automatically after the video finishes etc. Currently the video plugin will add fully responsive videos for youtube & vimeo, videos will load on demand by default, the player can be 100% customized & there will be options like pause on close, close at end of video etc.
