As far as I know, I am not using any caching plugin nor any caching feature on my hosting account.

If I log in, I see updated RSS content via this plugin.

If I log out, I see really old RSS content.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

If I am wrongfully “blaming” the plugin when something else is the issue I will be quick to change the status of the ticket.

Correction! The site in focus is part of a multisite network and it does use a caching plugin called Quick Cache.

I am now searching for how to get Quick Cache to not cache the contents of this RSS feed, or either not cache it for very long, regarding site visitors who are not logged in.

I think I have found the issue and resolved it. The Quick Cache plugin for the whole MS network, had its “Directory/Expiration Time” set to 7 days! I changed to to 60 seconds, and so I am confident this will solve the problem.

The plugin have no custom cache. Use only the default of WP. If you change the default of WP, then also the Cache of feeds. WP update on default the feeds after 12 hours.
