• Hello,

I have been editing a website for an employer, changing links and code from an IP address that was originally the URL to the new url, colvillesmiles.com. I have done this for every image and link twice now. Within a few days I open it up and all the image and link codes are back to the IP address. I need to know how to stop this from happening. I am being paid for my services and have been trying to fix this problem for weeks now. Please help!

    Thanks.

  • Perhaps you need to See Changing_The_Site_URL?

Some site content is also reverting back to what it was before I edited it. As in the words on the pages themselves. I really need help.

WordPress cannot revert changes unless someone has manually chosen to rollback to a previous revision on each & every affected Post & Page.

Where would that option be? I am certain I am the only one editing the content, but there is a possibility that the local web host could be doing something. I live in a small town where a lot of people don’t understand web design and the hosting service could easily be making a mistake.

The only way the web host could do it would be by overwriting the current database with an older database backup.
