Content mismatch between AMP and canonical pages (Critical)

  • in google search console I get the above error for my home page. I am using a static home page. I have already tried on/off for AMP on page, home page, and permalinks, but it does NOT display the content of mysite.com/ for mysite.com/amp. Instead mysite.com/amp displays the list of all posts.

    selecting Front page as my static page displays only title and no content at all.

    All posts are displayed correctly.
    However pages like contact-us with email form, privacy-policy, signup etc. the GSC throws error: Use of deprecated tag or attribute (Non-critical)

    Please advice if I am doing anything wrong there.

    I am using a free version of Spacious Theme that allows to create a Static Front Page by selecting different pages for different regions of the Front page.

    1. Your website theme not generating AMP compatible output. That is the reason why your static page displays only title and no content.

    If you want to use Static Front Page on AMP version of your website, then I recommend you to create a separate homepage for AMP using Custom AMP Editor, which can be found below the Editor.

    2. Non-Critical issues in Google Search Console are just warnings. you can ignore them. We are currently working on them. They’ll be fixed in the future updates of the plugin.

    got it right now. thank you so much.

    however there is a little big problem – I am using glue with yoast, but the page title for AMP version has changed to something else, no luck even after clear cache or permalink reset. Somehow it has picked up the title from my last post and it looks strange. Any help on that?

    Did you update our plugin to latest version 0.9.47 ? We are having issues with titles in the previous version and we have fixed that issue in 0.9.47.

    Updating our plugin must fix your issue.

    Sorry, Home page title for AMP version is not fixed yet, all other pages look ok, using Version 0.9.48

    I have the same issue on my site Trickspaid. It’s showing mismatch content , which can be a big problem in future.

    Hi @kadirkr,

    When is it showing content mismatch? And have you made any changes?
    Honestly, I don’t know why google is saying content-mismatch in this case.
    Wait for a day or two to Google recrawl the site and then check the results.

    If it is still showing content-mismatch then I suggest you to turn-off homepage support for few days and then turn-on to see any changes in the result.
