Just installed the free 3.1 version of “The Events Calendar” and it installs and activates just fine. I can even use the settings page without any problem but when I go to https://www.mattvenuti.com/events/ I get this error:

    Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Any ideas? I went through the primer and all of the trouble shooting faqs on the Modern Tribe site but nothing seems useful.

  • Hi jimmulvaney – I’m not seeing quite the same issue – can you confirm if this has been resolved / you need further help?

I think it has been resolved. I haven’t really done anything different to it since I posted here other than switch between the theme’s available page templates but when it was set to “default template” that was when i got that error. Thanks anyways.

No problem, glad to hear you’re on track ??
