This is a brand new installation of WordPress. Some content pages and other plugins were added prior to installing NextGen gallery.
After installing NextGen and visiting the content pages, I noticed that the content pages all had the following notice:

“Nothing Found. Ready to publish your first post? Get started here.”

When I went back to plugins and deactivated the NextGen plugin, the content displayed normally again.
I tried deactivating the other plugins one at a time, and switching to an alternate theme, but the problem persists.

Then I thought that maybe NextGen needs to be setup with at least one gallery or album to prevent the error.
When I tried to add a new gallery, I got the following error:

    ” not defined for ExtensibleObject
