• A few days ago, my site was the victim of a minor (but really irritating) hack. I deleted and reinstalled my theme (Standard Theme 3.1.2), scanned and repaired the database, reset all the passwords for everything, reinstalled WordPress 3.4.2, had my hosts checking to make sure everything’s in good shape and apparently it’s all clean.

But since then, anytime I add text that’s copied and pasted from another source (say a paragraph from an eBook or a post on another blog to serve as a teaser for a link), the content of the post disappears the moment I save.

I’ve had to create some workarounds to keep my site up and running (write in Google Drive, paste into WordPress via the iOS app), but that’s not really an ideal (or sustainable) solution.

Any suggestions on what could be causing the problem?

Update: I’ve updated the site to WP 3.5 and the issue is continuing to occur. Content deletes whenever I save a draft or schedule. I’ve gotten into the habit of hardcoding and working between the iOS app and my Google Drive docs, but if anyone has a suggestion, I’d be grateful to hear it.
