• I’ve been using WP as a CMS since about version 2.1. I’ve also been using a few other content management systems and seem to have come across a major drawback of WordPress. I’m hoping there’s a way to do it that I just have found yet.

I would like to create some sort of content boxes or content blocks. By default, there’s only one way to insert content and it all goes into the same box.

For example, let’s say I want the layout to be like this:
    ________________
    | img | Text |
    ________________
    | Text |
    ________________

In WP, I would have to use the Advanced editor and draw a table or two. In other CMS options, I could specify three blocks where they user would just select an image, type in one box, and type in a second box.

My goal is to not require users to build tables or format text – simply manage the content and not the design and layout.

Is there any way to do this in WordPress?

    Thanks
