I need visitors to see content based on the location they manually select from the top of the website. And not auto geo-location. For eg:

website.com – user selects Australia as the location on top of website.

website.com/au – User clicks on services and should be taken to website.com/au/services.

User then selects India as the location and should be taken to website.com/in/services.

Can I do this with If So plugin? and if yes then how to do it? Some brief steps (not detailed) would help here.

  • Hi Chetan,

It might be possible using If>So’s dynamic link condition.

Is the services button a part of a menu?

Yes, it will be a part of primary nav menu and will most probably be linked this way: website.com/services

So, please tell me if I get this right:

    1. A visitor visits a certain page (any page on the website) and selects a country
    2. The page reloads and its URL stays the same
    3. The link of one of the menu’s entries is set to point a webpage according to the visitor’s choice in step 1.

    Do I understand correctly?

    1. A visitor visits a certain page (any page on the website) and selects a country
    – website.com/about > selects Australia

    2. The page reloads and its URL stays the same
    – no it may modify at this point to website.com/au/about or website.com/about-au

    3. The link of one of the menu’s entries is set to point a webpage according to the visitor’s choice in step 1.
    – yes. Menu entry like services will point to /au/services or service-au according to the visitor’s choice in step 1.

I understand now, unfortunately, we do not support this option at the moment.

I think you should check WPML, they offer this exact functionality (they offer this functionality to allow website translations but you can use it for your own propose).

    Hope I could help…
