I am using Ocean WP as a theme and Elementor as a plugin. The “blog” post section is not allowing me to shape the post in Elementor. Instead, I keep on getting an error message:

“Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the_content function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.”

Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.

Hello, it is not possible to edit an archive page with a page builder. Elementor work on something to allow that, it should be released in February as they said.

This does not make any sense. I did it before.

Not an archive page because it is not possible ??
If you try to edit an archive pas with Elementor, you will see a message that telling you there is no the_content.
Right now, there is the free plugin Anywhere Elementor that allow you to edit archives pages, but I don’t know well this plugin.

I tried that still not working. Maybe I am not making myself clear. I followed to the letter the following video at the 2:40:00 mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdKB7UjEo_k

I am trying to use Elementor on a post and I keep on getting:

“Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the_content function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.”

I went to Homepage settings and MY Posts page is my blog.

I can use Elementor for my blog but not post. It was working some 5 days ago but now it isn’t. Is there a bug in the program or are my settings wrong for the post page making it unable to work with Elementor?

Oh sorry, I taught you wanted to edit the blog archive page.
Have you tried to remove Elementor and re-install it? If you create a new post without touching anything and you try to edit it with Elementor, have you the same message?
Have you reached Elementor about this? Maybe they know why you have this error in your posts.
