My site is seniorsgetfit.com, and I have honestly, for the last, 2 days, worked to figure this out on my own. I’ve read the codex, I’ve searched forums, but I can’t figure out how to get the Contact Form onto/into my Contact page. I am using the Evolve theme, and I see the contact.php file in my “file manager” on Hostgator CPanel.

I am just not that savvy, but I was thinking somehow, since the “file” is there, I have to move it somewhere to activate it. But honestly, I am straining and would so appreciate some help.

Is anyone around that knows about this particular issue? Thanks in advance for any help. Even to point me to the “already written” instructions in case I missed them. I couldn’t figure out, or find an email for the author of the Evolve theme either.

    Thanks so much, Denise

In your admin panel click Pages > Hover over page you want contact on > Click Quick Edit > Look for word Template, click the drop down box next to it and select Contact.

    Now save.

Then go to Appearance > Theme Options > Contact to edit all the info for that page.

On a side note never edit the core PHP files like contact.php, create a Child Theme if you want to edit that stuff otherwise all your edits will be removed when the theme is updated by the developer.

Thank you sooooooooo much Erik! Yeah, I don’t want to mess with the files/theme, I just don’t know enough, but I’ve also heard of folks breaking the template, I think that’s what they call it:) I like the theme as is. I can fiddle with the little stuff like options to change background color etc. But that’s as daring as I get:)

Thanks again Erik and I am off to follow your direction;) denise

Will do;) I don’t see any place I can give you a thumbs up or add a rep for you. Is there one?

    Hi Everyone,

I tried all the steps that you suggested: In your admin panel click Pages > Hover over page you want contact on > Click Quick Edit > Look for word Template, click the drop down box next to it and select Contact.

    Now save.

Then go to Appearance > Theme Options > Contact to edit all the info for that page.

But it doesn’t send it to this email…any idea?
