you can create custom placeholder like https://wp-events-plugin.com/tutorials/create-a-custom-placeholder-for-event-formatting/ and then try to use this

$replace = "<a href='".$EM_Event->output("#_CONTACTPROFILELINK")."'>".$EM_Event->output("#_CONTACTUSERNAME")."</a>";

Thanks, angelo, but I’m a little confused where I save this code. I read over the #_STYLES example, but it doesn’t specify where I save the file I create for the custom placeholder.
