Contact forms fails to uploadattachment

  • we use contact form 7 for our club members to upload images for competitions.

    recently we have had a few members having issues with odd uploads. They complete the form and attach their image. ( all images are .jpg ) and hit the send button. The form just shows a spinning circle at the bottom. It never completes.

    Examining the file we can see nothing wrong. If you edit the file Photoshop or a similar app and save it. It then uploads OK.

    What does the spinning circle mean and what may cause it?

    Hundreds of uploads complete successfully normally. This has only recently started to occur.

    Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7 and Wordfence Security, and clearing all cache data.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.
