Hi, I’m running WP 2.9, and it seems now that whichever contact form plugin I try, it causes my “add new post” text box to disappear.

If I disable the Contact Form plugin, everything seems fine again, but I need to have a contact form of some type.

I have tried several different contact form plugins, and all of them seem to cause the same problem..

the only other plugins I have installed are Askimet, WP Automatic Upgrade, and ShareThis.

here is a screenshot of my Add New Post area when a Contact Form plugin is active: https://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/pandrews/add_new_post_2.jpg

    ANY help is greatly appreciated!

  • @dbcooper,

WordPress Automatic Upgrade is no longer a supported plugin and from what I have seen in the forums is broken under WP 2.9. Have you tried deactivating this plugin to see what then happens on “Add New Post”?

Also, by any chance did you perform the 2.9 upgrade using Automatic Upgrade? This could very well have introduced issues causing the blank page on “Add New Post”.

Thanks rschilt, I think that seems to have solved the problem.
