Contact form validation

Hi,
I have 5 fields : last name (required), first name, e-mail (required), country, request (required).
I have a problem with your form validation. I click on submit button without writing in my form, to see how validation works. An error message appears for email (“L’adresse email est invalide.”), OK, but submit button displaced oddly before my textarea just next to the error message, and I can’t write nothing in my mail field to correct (looks like a z-index or HTML problem).
And no error message for other required fields… ?
Also, can I put other rules ? For example, if user fill in the first name field with numbers, I don’t want the form to be submitted…
A last question : do you use double validation Javascript and PHP ?
Could you tell me what to do please ? Thank you.
