Contact Form submissions error

This is the production site before we deploy. So the domain is not the final domain. And the “from” email is not a real email. Because we don’t have emails at WPengine.com, of course. ReCaptcha is enabled. But even disabled it is the same error. Cashing on the page is off.
The form just gives the same error over and over:
“There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”Since the form is suction there are no colored outlines not he error to see what it’s attempting to say.
Clearly something in the cpu-in is misconfigured but I can’t track down what? Its a very simple form.
