contact form in themes

  • I recently installed wordpress on my server and am playing around with the default theme that came with it “twentyten”. I want to add a contact us form and found the directions for doing this but the add contact form media button is not present. Is it because twentyten does not offer this feature?

    I also downloaded the plugin contact form 7 and installed it and it is listed as a plug in in my dashboard but don’t know how to get it on a page? any instructions for this?

    Is there anyway to search for themes that have the “contact form” feature?

    I thought when you were in edit page mode and next to the upload/insert there was supposed to be an icon to insert a form? I don’t see it and am still looking for an answer to this. Is that function not available in WordPress anymore? It was in the documentation here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ thank you.

    Activate the Contact Form 7 Plugin that you installed, and then go to the Settings page. The Plugin will explain how to setup a form, and how to add it to a Page.

    Add the following code to any page will show the default contact form.

    [contact-form 1 "Contact form 1"]

    Do keep in mind Contact form 1 is the name of the form you can change it later on.

    ok thank you and I have done that but also want to know if WordPress no longer offers the following feature when you were in edit page mode and next to the upload/insert there was supposed to be an icon to insert a form?     You are looking at wordpress.COM support, but using www.remarpro.com software

    wordpress.COM is hosted sites, and the features are different
