Contact form bug since updating?

    Hi all,

    Since updating Contact Form 7 to version 5.0, all my contact forms display an empty red box underneath the submit button. This is happening on several websites, on different hosting environments.

    There is no error message, the box just sits there under the submit button all the time.

    My contact form still works, but the box is ugly and shouldn’t be there… any suggestions? Anyone else got this bug?

  • Thank you @barentz for the great solution! You’re a lifesaver. I did not find problem on every theme but I’m also using Jupiter theme like @bobteree

    I have the same issue but using Pearl Theme, the div.wpcf7-display-none {display: none;} doesn’t work.

    This issue block the use the form. Is there any setting to change in WP security to stop this empty field ?

    Should i change my security plug in for one who don’t block my contact form 7 ?

    It seems I am being included in all contact forum 7 forums even if I havent engaged. I did send one enquiry yesterday, which I still need help with but I seem to have have been included in all posts since then, can someone advise on this situation, thanks
