Contact Form 8 Issues

I’ve setup the contact form 8 plugin on my wordpress site, although it appears to be not working correctly. I have added a drop down menu in hope that I could know directly the reason behind being contacted and for some reason the none of the information from the drop down menu comes through in the e-mail.
It also just keeps a refreshing icon next to the send button and this doesn’t go away.
Would anyone be able to help me resolve some of these issues?
