Contact form 7 Submission issues when JS minify active

    I am having issues with JS minify active. when I turn JS minify on, the contact form 7 doesn’t submit forms or the submit button doesn’t do any action. This started happening like yesterday or so. I had to disable this option.

    and also I keep getting this contact-forms/1891/feedback 406 (Not Acceptable) could you help me fix this? site scores are pretty bad without the JS minify. Thanks

    I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
    Just to confirm, the CF7 worked as expected until yesterday? Have you made any changes, attend some new plugin, or made any other changes?
    Have you tried rebuilding the minify cache by emptying minify?
    Currently, I can see that the CF7 form is working can you confirm that?
    If the issue persist, please try to enable minify and add the CF7 js files to “Never minify following JS files” in Performance>Minify>Advanced and see if that helps.

    Hi Marko, Thank you for your prompt response.

    Just to confirm, the CF7 worked as expected until yesterday? Yes the Contact form was working fine till Sunday or Monday (tests was working fine), Yesterday When we checked the site there was a red box below the form but no text then I had to remove the JS minify and it went away but came back when I activated JS minify. So I checked with Contact form 7 and they said to reach out to you guys…

    unfortunately, the solution you gave me still didn’t fix it tho… when I activate minify these are all the contact form 7 related errors on developer console – Screenshot

    This is a very strange issue. The fact that it worked fine with the js minify enabled and just stopped working out of the blue is very strange.
    Can you please share the path of the scripts added to “Never minify following JS files” in Performance>Minify>Advanced because as I can in the screenshot the files are minified.
    I’ve tried to replicate the issue but with no success. CF7 forms work fine when submitting with JS minify enabled.

    Hi Marko, I think I have managed to get the issue sorted out. after looking into this more in google developer console I found out once you activate the JS minify a mod_security was triggering for some reason… I had my hosting look into this and whitelist the rules and the problem went away. it is weird too because everything was working fine till that day & No idea what went wrong and which caused it… I think I will close this ticket now and leave this thread…
