Contact form 7 / SMTP not connecting
-
I have contact fomr 7, but it’s not working. Someone suggested it was an SMTP issue, so I also tried to use Postman SMTP. I don’t think I’m doing it right. Please help!

Hi there! Thanks for using Postman.
Please post your Diagnostic Info from the Tips and Diagnostics menu.

You can not send Gmail with the bluehost.com server. The gmail.com SPF record forbids that.
If the wizard was unable to find a way to send mail on your system, it should have asked you to run the Connectivity Test. Would you please post the results of the Connectivity Test against smtp.gmail.com here (just the conclusions part).

The standard SMTP ports are blocked by your host.
You have two choices.
- Install the Postman Gmail Extension to send your Gmail with the GoogleApi server using the one port that isn’t blocked, port 443.
- Or create a tantalizea.com e-mail address at Bluehost, setup a SPF record for tantalizea.com, and configure Postman to send the email out using the Bluehost SMTP server.
I tried using the Postman Gmail Extension. I missed the first part of the instructions (confirming with my Gmail account that I want to allow emails), but it works now!
Thank you so much! You were very helpful! ??
Woohoo! Another sassified customer! ??
I’m having a similar issue with contact form 7 and postman. I can’t send email from contact form 7 to Zoho mail. The thing is that postman says that the email is being sent, but I can’t see it in my inbox.
This is what I’m getting in Diagnostic test:

@luisjar, if you are having the same issue, “Contact form 7 / SMTP not connecting“, why are you posting :
The thing is that postman says that the email is being sent
That doesn’t sound like the same issue at all.
