  • Sending emails directly from any WordPress form plugin on a AWS Lightsail instance is likely to require considerable experience and skill. It’s probably going to be a lot harder than from typical shared hosting.

    See If You Have Email Problems for a general guidance on the issues involved.

    In your case sending emails through an external SMTP server is likely to be the easiest option.

    Thanks @buzztone!

    I just found out that bitanmi installs of WordPress come with WP Mail SMTP Plugin, just wasnt activated. I activated and performed the email test. I received this warning. Any ideas?

    There was a problem while sending a test email. Related debugging output is shown below:

    Versions:
    WordPress: 4.9.7
    WordPress MS: No
    PHP: 7.0.30
    WP Mail SMTP: 1.2.5

    Params:
    Mailer: mail
    Constants: No

    Server:
    PHP.mail(): Yes

    The message indicates you are very long way from getting this to send emails on AWS.

    I’ve heard that sending emails from a WordPress site on AWS is complex and requires considerable skill & experience in this area.

    As I suggested using “an external SMTP server is likely to be the easiest option” if you don’t have those sort of skills & experience.
