Contact Form 7 Not working after Update

  • Hi There

    I have updated to WordPress 5.0.3 and the latest version 4.1 of the 907 Theme and all the associated plug-ins that are bundled with this theme are also now updated. So everything is now up to date.

    However Contact Form 7 5.1.1 has stopped working.

    I just get a spinning arrow when anyone tries to send a mail via the website using Contact Form?

    I know I could go through and turn off individual plug-ins to find the culprit that is causing the problem. However I don’t have loads of plug-ins in use, and the ones that are, I guess are needed by the 907 theme…so if I turn one off and Contact Form now works, I will still have to turn that plug in back on again?

    The site is hosted by LCN.

    Any ideas welcomed to help a relative novice.

    Try switching theme to the default Twenty Nineteen or Twenty Seventeen and deactivating all other plugins.

    I will do that, but I have a couple of questions:

    1) Will I lose all the layout, design and content I currently have in the 907 theme when I switch to TwentySeventeen.

    2) If it was with Twenty Seventeen and all plug-ins off, then what ? I need to have the 907 theme on and the plug-ins I’m using are only the ones I need to use with that theme I think ?

    And if I trial the site content with TwentySeventeen or similar, can I switch back to the 907 theme and the site will be as before ?

    I’ ve installed flamingo with contact form 7, on my wordpress site.

    The problem is that i can’t read upoladed files, i look only the filename.

    Is there any solution about thiw problem?

    The spinning arrow is a very common sign of a JavaScript conflict with your WP theme or one of the other plugins you are using.

    The technique suggested by Takayuki is commonly used in WordPress to find what is actually causing a particular problem.

    If you find the culprit you definitely should advise the theme/plugin author – they may be able to help. I imagine most theme/plugin authors would want to ensure that their theme/plugin works correctly with a very popular plugin like Contact Form 7.

    Can I switch to the other theme for testing and then change back to the current theme that is set up and the site will be as before?

    Yes everything will as be as before when you switch back.

    OK – So I really need some help with this.

    I deactivated every plug in, except “Contact Form 7” and the 907 Theme itself, and still all I got was the spinning arrows and no message sent when trying to send an email through the contact form on the site, made through Contact Form 7.

    I then, with all the plug ins still deactivated, switched to the 2019 theme basic theme, but was unable to send a message as the contact form was no longer showing on the site?

    Is there anyone who can help? :-/

    I’m running the latest version of:
    Wordpress (5.0.3),
    Contact Form 7 (5.1.1)
    and
    907 Theme (4.1.3)

    Help – This is driving me crazy!
