Contact Form 7 Not Sending via Sendgrid API

To update this, I’ve tried using both SendGrid’s API and SMTP without luck. I’m authenticating via API key, and verify the settings using the form within this plugin’s Settings page.

We can take Contact Form 7 out of the picture, because just normal “Forgot my Password” emails generated by WordPress itself do not get sent using SendGrid even though it is set up and configured.

I’m hosting on Pantheon, so this is really important – email is undeliverable unless sent through a third party transactional service. Perhaps its an issue with the latest version of this plugin?

I have isolated the issue. SendGrid breaks specifically when a plugin called “ilightbox” is installed (https://codecanyon.net/item/ilightbox-revolutionary-lightbox-for-wordpress/3939523).

This is a beautiful plugin that really handles photo galleries very well. I’ve contacted the author about the incompatibility, but have not yet heard back. I’m not sure how many people this would impact, but I suspect that the community would have a vested interest in finding out WHY this incompatibility exists (i.e. what causes it) because it is likely the case that anyone having problems with SendGrid’s plugin has another plugin installed that suffers from the same issue.
