Hi there! Contact form 7 is not sending to user. Hostpapa suggested i install SMTP (done) and follow these instructions, specifically in the to field: https://contactform7.com/setting-up-mail/ (done). Still not working. Is [email protected] the correct email for that field? I’m so confused. This has been going on for days. Any suggestions would be great at this point? I want the user to get an email with the promised link and me to get an email with their contact info.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

How have you configured SMTP for sending? With WP Mail SMTP or another plugin?

Yes, as far as I know. Hostpapa helped with that.

Please take a close look at this. If you have configured WP Mail SMTP with a valid SMTP server, you should have no problems receiving emails. In WP Mail SMTP you can also generate a test mail and it will also show you warnings if something is wrong.

If you can’t find it, ask your hoster’s support what exactly they have done. If they haven’t set this up for you, do it yourself.

This is what is looks like:

    HOST. [email protected]

    ENCRYPTION SSL

    SMTP PORT 465

    Auto TLS on

    Authenticfication on

    SMTP USERNAME [email protected]

Can you send a test mail under WP Mail SMTP > Tools and if so, with what result?

Is a warning about sending mail displayed under Tools > Site Health?

SPF Success + DMARC Warning and no email sent.

Then the DMARC warning could be a reason. Receiving servers now often require this in order to accept emails at all. Contact the support of your email server to clarify this. This is not something you can set in WordPress.

Wonderful! Thank you. I’ll keep you posted ??

They fixed the DMARC warning but it’s still not working. suggested i need to use the second contact form (Mail 2) and all it does is send me two emails (nothing to the user). Is it something to do with the TO and FROM fields? I have tried multiple email addresses to make sure it’s not a gmail thing or related to using same email as URL.

The FROM field should ideally contain an e-mail under the domain of your website. The TO field should of course contain your email.
