Upon updating wordpress to 4.7.2 and CF7 to the latest version, my CF reCAPTCHA started to appear at random (now it mostly does not appear at all). I had to disable recaptcha for all forms until I find a solution.

An instance of the ‘broken’ recaptcha can be seen here:

Can anyone provide assistance? I have tried: downgrading CF to 4.3.1, disabling all plugins.

PS Appears to be happening only in Chrome.

  • Hi, everything works fine for me. I am using Chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit). The reCAPTCHA appears systematically.

Perhaps a problem with your browser. Did you try to clean the browser cache?

    Hi @paulagaces,

Considering when your message sent, you most likely looked at the page after the fix was deployed. It turned out that this was a problem caused by the theme, Avada v3.8.7. A front-end developer fixed this in minutes by editing:

    wp-content/themes/Avada2/assets/js/main.min.js
changed all strings from “href=#” to “href=’#'”

Thank you for looking into it!

    Best,
    Daniel
