    Hello,
I understand that Contact Form 7 used to have a module to enable it to integrate with the WPML translation plugin, so that using this I could specify text within a contact form that I need to be exposed to the WPML string translation.

    E.g.
    [icl name-input-field]Please enter your name{/icl]
    or
[select your-city icl:cities “London” “Paris” “Madrid”]

However, this no longer seems to be supported – what is the reason for this being pulled, and could I still use the old icl.php module to do this? I have asked the same question of ICL in their forums but they just told me it got pulled for no reason so to get in touch with yourself?

    Regards,
    Harvey.

The [icl] tag is no longer supported since you can create localized contact forms without any translation plugins.

I know you get the option to select from a list of languages when you create a new form, but this doesn’t help me when I need to expose text from within the form (i.e. what the form creator enters as fields in the form). So in the example I gave, I would like for the text “London” “Paris” and “Madrid” to be registered with the WPML translation plugin so that I can translate them and they’d appear correctly in the site’s current language. I am right in thinking now that the only way to do this is to create separate forms for each language version required – hence having to duplicating the form? Or is it possibe to make it work how I believe it used to work back in version 2.

    Thanks,
    Harvey.

Yes, simply create contact forms for each languages.

Ok, thank you for taking the time to reply.

    Hi,
but creating a different form for every language means that I get a separate data table for every language, doesn′t it?
Thats why I′d prefer a multilingual form.
    Thank you
    Klaus
