• Hi, We have been using your Contact Form 7 plugin with your Captcha plugin and Katz Media’s Contact Form 7 Newsletter Constant Contact integration without any trouble since the beginning of the year. Now, just before an important event, the spinner that sometimes appears after clicking the Send button is hanging, and people are clicking it multiple times since it is difficult to tell (if not impossible) if the contact form has been sent, resulting in multiple submissions (as evidenced by the autoresponders being sent to the newsletter admins) in the past few days.

    I deactivated every plugin except your two, and the Send button worked fine. Then I activated only the Constant Contact plugin, and immediately the Send button started acting up again. When I activated it, there was a message saying that I should check the integration. I did, and everything seems to be okay, yet we are experiencing this issue. Can you help us figure out what is going wrong, or tell us if there is a known conflict with the Contact Form 7 Newsletter plugin? Is there another, more reliable plugin to use to integrate with Constant Contact?

    Here’s the url where we’re seeing this problem: https://www.stefanbaumann.com/free-ebook/
    Thanks so much!

  • 1. I deactivated every plugin except your two, and the Send button worked fine.

    So CF7 works on your website

    2. Then I activated only the Constant Contact plugin, and immediately the Send button started acting up again.

    So the Constant Contact plugin is causing a Javascript Conflict with CF7.

    You should repost your question in the support forum for the Constant Contact plugin and hopefully they will correct it.

    ??As a temporary fix:
    ?
    You can stop Contact Form 7 loading any JavaScript

    When the value of WPCF7_LOAD_JS is set to false (default: true), Contact Form 7 does not load the JavaScript. You can set the value of this constant in your wp-config.php like this:

    define('WPCF7_LOAD_JS', false);

    See https://contactform7.com/loading-javascript-and-stylesheet-only-when-it-is-necessary/

    You will lose all of CF7’s Javascript functionality and of course the real cause is the other plugin.

    thank you buzztone. I never received an email notifying me of your reply and am glad to find it now. I just submitted a request to the Constant Contact plugin developer just now and hope for a speedy reply since we have an important event in 2 weeks.
