• I’m having an issue with my Contact Form 7 not sending me emails. I’ve tried some test emails supplying both my home email, optonline, and my work email, outlook, and they have both gone through. However when I sent the test emails supplying my gmail and ymail accounts, I received the error message: Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact administrator by other way.
I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this same issue, and if perhaps someone might have the resolution.

Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give.

  • You’d better write in detail about your environment and what you did. And could you show the page URL?

I’m using WP 2.8.4, and have my domain/hosting both through GoDaddy. I installed the plugin through the Admin panel and simply followed the directions. I have sent 4 test emails through my contact page ( https://rememberourforefathers.com/index.php/contact-rof-com/ ); I populated the Your Email* field once with my gmail address, once with my ymail address, once with my optonline address, and once with an outlook address hosted by my employer. The former two emails encountered the error message surrounded by the red box (Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact administrator by other way.) The latter two emails went through successfully and were received by my domain address as expected.

Thank you for your help and patience.

I’m having the exact same issue – was hoping to find some solutions but have been unsuccessful thus far.

    Any updates from your end?

Under the MM Forms Mail Options tab you must have the from field match the email set with WP-Mail-SMTP. At least in my case you do.

I was trying to set that to the user-entered information. Not sure why this method would only break with Yahoo and Gmail addresses, but my solution will work. I’d much rather the recipient of the form be able to just hit reply to respond to the user, but I can just have them reply to the email included in the body for now.

If anyone can explain why the other method is breaking, I’m all ears.
