• Hi,

I have installed Contact form 7 plugin Successfully but the form is not working properly. After hitting send button, the content in the fields remain as it is and I don’t even get any mail or response saying that “Your message has been sent successfully” on my website.

Please help me solving this issue. I have attached the link to the Contact page of my website.

    Thank you!

    am also facing same problem

let me know if it’s resolved

I am also facing the same problem. When I click the submit button it just shows rotating arrows. User will have no way of knowing if they’ve submitted effectively.

Hi all, check out this thread and then try using version 4.7 of the plugin. See if that resolves your issue.

Us too. We’ve been having this problem for months now. We’re a web design company and rather than try figure out all the sudden problems with Contact Form 7, we are switching all of our customer’s sites to Gravity Forms. It’s a hassle, but since we can’t get a quick and easy fix from Contact Form 7 developers, we have no choice.

Users don’t get the “form sent” confirmation and the form doesn’t send a notification to the site owner.

We’ve tried using the SMTP plugin, but we don’t host emails and getting that info from customers is more trouble than it is worth.

So, good job Contact Form 7 developers. We give up! We’re using Gravity Forms now.

    PROBLEM:

When clicking on [ Submit ] button, the form does not submit. The [ Submit ] button may continue to work when logged into the website.

    CAUSE:

The Shield Security or Members plugins has been installed. The Anonymous REST API has been disabled.

Note: Anonymous REST API is required for Contact Form 7 to function properly for unauthenticated visitors.

    RESOLUTION:

To resolve the problem disable the following settings:

    Plugin: Shield Security

Option: Disable The Anonymous Rest API System (Deselect)

    Steps:
    1. Shield Security
    2. LockDown
    3. API & XML-RPC
    4. Deselect “Disable The Anonymous Rest API System” option.
    5. Save Options.

    Plugin: Members

Option: Require authentication for access to the REST API (Deselect)

    Steps:
    1. Settings
    2. Members
    3. Private Site
    4. REST API
    5. Deselect “Require authentication for access to the REST API” option.

I had the issue during post by rest api

    {“into”:”#”,”status”:”validation_failed”,”message”:”One or more fields have an error. Please check and try again.”,”invalidFields”:[{“into”:”span.wpcf7-form-control-wrap.username”,”message”:”The field is required.”,”idref”:null},{“into”:”span.wpcf7-form-control-wrap.email”,”message”:”The field is required.”,”idref”:null}]}

    Give me some ideas

    Hello together,

I have the same issue. While submitting the form nothing happens. Via XHR the error “alle fields are required” comes back but is not displayed in the frontend.

The mail won’t be send.. Nothing happens. Please check yourself: https://jung-und-endter.de/#contact

    Thank your for any hints!

    Best Regards

After perusing the comments above, in particular Isaiah’s (@adeptec’s) comment, I reviewed my other plug-ins. I had a password protection plug-in activated, though the password protection was no longer enabled, when I began having this problem. I deactivated the plug-in and then completed and submitted the form in various browsers and it wasn’t working before, but is for me. I have a collection of people who should test it for me in the next few days. If I don’t do any updates, then assume this worked, and then I would suggest that you go through other of your plug-ins and see if there is one that may be affecting this one. If it’s not necessary, as mine no longer was, deactivate and see if it makes a difference.

Hope this is able to help at least one someone!
