    Hello!

I am using a contact form 7 in a popup, that can be opened via a button. Whenever the submit-button is clicked (regardless if all required fields are filled) the page reloads and the popup is opened again with the previously filled fields. In the URL an anchor is added, that looks like this: #wpcf7-a123-b1

But it doesn’t send. Also I would like the popup not to reload the page but to validate the cf7 in the popup and show a confirmation or an error message.

What can I do to achieve that? ??

    Regards,
    Maurice

Hi @mauricekpw, thanks for reaching out to us and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

May I ask, did you set up Contact Form 7 Success cookie to your popup? If not yet, I would encourage checking out this documentation on how to Close/Open Popup and Create Cookie After Contact Form 7 Submission This will provide further insights and will guide you throughout the process.

I hope you find the article helpful.

If you need further assistance with this, then this would fall under our premium support, and so please could you open a support ticket at our support portal, here: https://wppopupmaker.com/support/ In line with that, we will be able to try to replicate the issue from our end.

Let us know and thank in advance!

    Hello Maria,

thanks for getting back to me. The popup opens after the user clicks on a button. This should happen every time the button is clicked.

I see no point in creating a cookie that prevents the opening of the popup. The contact form in the popup should be displayed every time the button is clicked. Then the user should be able to fill out the form, and submit their data. After that the contact-form success (or failure) message should be shown and then the user can close the popup via the x on the top right of the popup.

As I said the submission part is not working. The page reloads, the popup opens but the message was not submitted.

Could you provide further assistance on why this is happening?

    Regards,
    Maurice

    Hello @mauricekpw,

    Thanks for clarifying.

If the CF7 form isn’t submitting, there might be an issue with your CF7 settings. Have you confirmed your form is working outside of the popup (i.e., create a test page just for that 1 form)?

Are you seeing an error message such as one of these?

    https://contactform7.com/faq/#After_submitting_the_form_I_get_an_error_message

    If you’ve:

    1) Ruled out any issues with CF7

    2) The popup still isn’t working

    3) And, you’d like us to check your Popup Maker settings

Please submit a ticket so we can get more details from you ??

    Hello!

First of all: Thank you for your input and help.
The issue wasn’t related to contact form. It wasn’t related to popup-maker either –?there another plugin added google recaptcha keys and that broke contact forms.

My issue is resolved and thanks for your help!

    regards
    Maurice

    Hello Maurice,

We are happy to hear that and on behalf of Mark, you are most welcome! ??

By the way, if you have time then we would very much appreciate it if you could quickly rate the plugin, just to help us spread the word.

    Have a great day! Cheers
