• I moved a WP website to my friend’s server. When I’m trying to attach file to email through contact form 7 and it has spaces or special simbols in the name “There was an error uploading the file.” error reavels.

else if it is just attached file with name “picture.png” – it is ok.

On my local server both ways work fine.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • This issue is still ongoing. Mobile users need to upload photo’s that they have taken and directly upload them via the contactform. On a desktop this is no problem. But a filename like IMG_20180918_175101.JPG fails to upload.

People can’t usually, nor want to, change a filname before they upload files on mobile. So what can be the cause of this issue? I also have not been able to find any usefull error other then, ‘there was an error uploading the file’

    Im back!

I don’t know if this ‘solution’ will work for you.
In my hosting’s php settings the max_post_size and max_file_size / max_upload_size where set very low. The file size was over 2MB, it was not the name but the size…

After fixing this all worked well.
