Contact Form 7 Double Submission on One Click

The theme I am using is sending each contact form submission twice (2 sets of circular arrows when submit is pressed as seen here https://imgur.com/xisQ0zc).

I have switched to the default theme and deactivated all plugins and the forms work correctly. I have also asked the theme developers to assist me in solving the problem, but no such solution has been achieved in 3 months so I would like to try and fix this using the awesome WordPress community’s help.

Can anyone tell me where I need to look within theme to possibly solve the issue? I have way too many hours in configuring this one to replace the theme.
