Contact Form 7 conflict with medicenter theme

    Since several theme or WordPress updates, my medicenter theme was not able to send mail from the contact form. Message with red box “There was an error trying to send your message.

    I tried a number of solutions from the internet. Also another contact plugin did not work.

    By best guess I thought, there might be a conflict with the tag “email” of the built in contact form of the theme and the contact form 7 tag “email”.

    Finally I could solve the problem with the following steps:
    1. I modified the contact-form.php of the theme. I modified several locations calling up the tag “email” to “your-email”.
    2. The tag “email” was also referred by the internal settings template “Theme Options –> Contact Form” of the theme. I deleted the tag in this template.

    After the changes described in the topic, Contact Form 7 works as intended. Many thanks to Takayuki Miyoshi !
