Hello. I have been using Contact Form 7 successfully for over a year. I have 4 x forms that have all been working great.

Saw message in WordPress Dashboard about running Configuration check, so did so ….. Have been notified that all 4 have the same configuration error, but can see nothing wrong, and all working fine. Have tried updating, and still get error message, but still work fine.

In the Form tab, I collect the sender’s email address, using a code like : “
Email (required) :
    [email* wac-email]
” (without the “s).

In the Mail tab’s From field, I have : “[wac-email]” (without the “s), which generates a red message below, saying “This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site.”

The form is collecting the sender’s email address, so that I can reply to what he sends in to me. Obviously this is unlikely to in the same domain as my website.

I hope I have explained this clearly.

    Best Regards – John

  • It’s a change to meet mail servers bouncing messages seen as spam. I posted the fix on topic – you do need to match the domain but also add the reply-to.
“This email address does not belong to the same domain as the site.”
