Contact Form 7 Captcha Integration – Requires Theme JS in the Footer

  • I’ve been facing the (what sounds like) common errors with Contact Form 7 and the new captcha v3. The CF7 plugin has been updated but has flagged that if the error is still in place after updating (which for me it is), then “you are advised to ensure that the theme you use properly loads JavaScript in the footer area of each page…Ask the theme author for a fix if you find your theme has such issues.”

    Hoping you can please help me with this?

    Hello Kayley, Bento loads its scripts in the footer by default.

    Ok. Not sure the best fix…plugin says to check with the theme developer to ensure the theme does not omit wp_footer() call to block scripts from loading.

    I can assure that we are using a proper implementation of wp_footer() in the theme (line 36 of the footer.php theme file) – otherwise Bento wouldn’t be approved to be hosted on www.remarpro.com ??

    Totally understood. Seems to be an increasingly common error with no clear fix so just wanted to make sure all angle for my site were covered before I jump ship on this plugin. ??
