• I use Contact Form 7. I also use the document attachment option, and after narrowing it down, I have found it sources to Wordfence. I was working fine up until recently, so must be with a recent Wordfence update. If I turn on Wordfence, I can add the docs to Contact Form 7 and they send just fine. But If Wordfence is active, when I try to upload a doc to the contact form, it just “spins.” Do I need to whitelist this action?

  • Hi owen919,
Please check the browser console for any JavaScript errors during this “loading” icon you got.

Do you have “Monitor Background Requests for False Positives” option enabled under (Wordfence > Firewall)? if this option is enabled for (Front and Admin Panel) you should get a pop-up window -when any request is blocked because of the Firewall- allowing you to decide if you want to whitelist this action or not.

Also, it’s worth to try choosing “Learning Mode” for “Firewall Status” under (Wordfence > Firewall) and re-check this issue.

Let me know how it goes,
    Thanks.

I have tried solution. There is no spinning arrow when “Learning Mode” is on. When back to “Enabled and Protected” mode than there is the problem again.

I had no pop-up windows and also nothing was added to “Whitelisted URLs” list. The list is still empty.

    Hi @zsedc
Please go to (Wordfence > Live Traffic) and filter the traffic by “Blocked By Firewall”, if any request was blocked by firewall it should appear there, and you should be able to click on “Whitelist param from Firewall” button in the log.

    Thanks.
