    Hi there,

I’m using Contact Form 7 (which I think is a brilliant plug-in!) on a site I’m updating for work which uses the Striking theme:

    https://www.forschoolseducation.co.uk.

The problem is that when I fill out the form and click send, although the message reaches it’s destination there is no confirmation to show that the message has sent. I have used Contact Form 7 on another site before so I know that it usually does this.

The Striking theme comes with it’s own contact form and I suspect that this might be clashing with Contact Form 7 in some way. Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all other plugins deactivated?

    Hi Esmi,

Thanks for replying to me. I spoke to my manager and he isn’t keen on the idea of switching the theme because apparently some of the widgets disappear when you remove the Striking theme. Unfortunately it’s a live site and we don’t have another one mirroring it. Is there another way to identify the problem?

I’m afraid there is no magic bullet in these situations. This is just the start of basic troubleshooting and is a process of elimination deliberately designed to locate the root cause as quickly as possible by first removing the most obvious and common culprits via a series of (often) temporary steps.

Your theme & plugin settings are saved in your database and should be retained for future use. Your widgets will also be saved.
