Constantly throws errors
-
I constantly get errors with this. At first it was taxes. I finally gave up with taxes and I am currently using WooCommerce in conjunction with TaxCloud because the WooCommerce tax service was horrible and TaxCloud automates my sales tax reporting to multiple states. So I have no issue there (although I can’t seem to get the taxes to show up on my invoices, my customers seem to understand that the difference is sales tax, and only one has questioned it so far.)
However, for some reason, USPS live shipping rates keep generating an error, and I have no idea why. At first it was “an error occured in WooCommerce Services” and a link to the log, and the log would show nothing wrong at all. However, it then started refusing orders because it hated my customers’ zip codes, and there was no way for my customer to continue the order. Thankfully, my customer e-mailed me, and after some unsuccessful attempts at different zip code formats, I deactivated WooCommerce Services. My customer order went through after that. As keeping WooCommerce Services activated would have caused my order volume to disappear, it is now turned off.
If there were some way for me to generate live shipping rates without WooCommerce Services, I would. Right now, I have WooCommerce deactivated and am using the flat rate shipping option instead. Thankfully, most of my customers opt for flat rate shipping anyway.
The problem with keeping WooCommerce Services turned off is that I cannot sell to customers outside of the United States as I do not have live rates (and I will not flat-rate ship to other countries as I could be on the hook for a huge bill with a large order).
Fix the fatal error with zip codes. PLEASE.
