• The plugin seems to be flagging warnings with Facebook which have them constantly logging me out and then having to enter my new session ID.

This seems to happen at least once a day and is a massive frustration. Is there anything that can be done (either on the plugin or Facebook end) that can whitelist the API to prevent this?

  • I don’t understand… for reviewing the app, I must create a screencast that show how I publish a new wordpress post and the app create the FB post in the FB account
But the app CAN’T create the FB post because doesn’t have the right permissions to post before the approval of review… what type a screencast I must create?? ??

It will work, but it will only publish to your Page as an admin-only post.

No, there’s nothing on my FB page. And there’s an error on the SNAP’s log:
[2019-08-13 16:56:02] – [Error] [Facebook – Facebook Pagina native FB] – -=ERROR=- Array ( [Warning] => [Error] => (#200) If posting to a group, requires app being installed in the group, and \ either publish_to_groups permission with user token, or both manage_pages \ and publish_pages permission with page token; If posting to a page, \ requires both manage_pages and publish_pages as an admin with \ sufficient administrative permission ) test facebook automatic posting

Please see the answer in the FAQ – #2.24: https://www.nextscripts.com/support-faq/#a24

All our scripts are installed on your server and your server makes posts to your networks directly. When you make a post your server logins to your account on your behalf and makes a post. The location that Facebook is asking you to confirm is a location of your server.

The further your sever from your home the more suspicious Facebook about that login. Please confirm that it was you. It might take several times and then Facebook will stop asking. Basically Facebook needs to mark your server IP as your “usual login” location. Once that happens, Facebook will stop with “suspicious activity” alerts.

Alternatively please try to use session instead of username password or vise versa.

    Session Instructions: https://www.nextscripts.com/snap-nextscripts-api-for-facebook-configuration/#session

Ahem… this is the same answer you get it weeks ago, but it’s no true, no more probably. The server is the same server for 2 years (the hosting server), and I try to change username/password and session, and viceversa (it’s 4 weeks that I have this problem, not yesterday), but nothing changed. Every time SNAP post to FB, FB block my account for suspiciuos activity. I wrote to FB support and I’m waiting for a response. But I think that they’re blocking your API. I know that it worked good for 3 years, but not now.
Now I try to use a native FB app, but there’s the problem to record a screencast without the app already reviewed, and this is another issue…

@barbarawebnauta Facebook is definitely not blocking our API. Hundreds of people are using our APi and only about 1% of them are getting this issue. Usually it gets resolved in several days.

    Thread Starter DFC005

    (@dfc005)

Well, I can categorically claim that I was part of the 1% and it’s an issue.

We’ve used the same server and same IP address for that server for close to five years. It’s in the same city where we live and post from.

This USE to work fine but something has changed recently (most likely something on the Facebook side) and now doesn’t. I appreciate that it might work for most but when we’re paying customers, just repeating that it should work fine isn’t really good enough.

I am happy to report though that going through the review process has 100% resolved the issue for us. I’ll be cancelling the Premium API as it’s useless now.

Im still experiencing this issue and cant go for the review process for 15-30 fanpages, would be too damn time consuming.

Attend the “1% reported”. Even if its “that small” it must be investigated

Facebook has reviewed my app in 3 days, but they blocked it, because app doesn’t function without manage_pages and publish_pages permissions, not even in development mode:

Array ( [Warning] => [Error] => (#200) If posting to a group, requires app being installed in the group, and \ either publish_to_groups permission with user token, or both manage_pages \ and publish_pages permission with page token; If posting to a page, \ requires both manage_pages and publish_pages as an admin with \ sufficient administrative permission )

So, first it’s not true that native FB app requires long time for revision.
Second, even if I follow every step for the native FB app in the nextscript site, the SNAP doesn’t permit a test, so FB doesn’t confirm the app…
Well, if API Premium doesn’t work at 100% (1% of failure is a big dimension in informatics), and if not even free plugin work with native FB app… what can we do now?!

    (@nextscripts)

@barbarawebnauta, Sorry, but you are not correct.

Please just follow our very detailed and illustrated with many screenshots step-by-step instructions:
    https://www.nextscripts.com/instructions/facebook-native-api-social-networks-auto-poster-setup-installation

I just tried it 5 minutes ago. It worked fine without any problems.

Please just follow our steps exactly. Don’t change anything, don’t skip anything and don’t do anything extra. It will work.

    Again…
Today I have again followed your guide (even if your images shows a different dashboard and settings of actual Facebook Developers). I prepared a new completely app.
When I arrived at 2.5 of your guide, I have been authorized from Facebook for the new app, I have the same Auth Info in green window, that disapper in few seconds.
I saw the dropdownlist “Where to Post.” correct full with my profile and my FB page.

Now, before the review of the app, you said me that I can make a post in my FB page visible only to me like the admin, is this true?
I tried “Test your settings: Submit Test Post to Facebook” button and this is the error:

    Testing …
    Array
    (
    [Warning] =>
[Error] => (#200) If posting to a group, requires app being installed in the group, and \
either publish_to_groups permission with user token, or both manage_pages \
and publish_pages permission with page token; If posting to a page, \
requires both manage_pages and publish_pages as an admin with \
    sufficient administrative permission
    )

No one new post is in my FB page, visible to the admin or not. There isn’t.
So the error is true. The app is yet in development mode.
The question, again, is: how can I make a screencast for review the app if I can’t even verify its use? If this test isn’t correct, please, tell me how to do it…
    Thank you.

I have followed the instructions over and over again – always getting logged out of facebook and having to start from scratch. Now, today, instead of simply being logged out of facebook, I am blocked and they have to review my passport ID.

is there any news on this? This hasnt been fixed I keep getting logged out after couple of hours

We also have this exact problem of being forced to change our Facebook password (that 1% is getting larger) and have had to stop using this plugin for FB and Instagram—which is the entire point.

If we can’t figure this out, we’re going to just cancel it as it’s not helping us anymore (we’ve been using it for years with the Pro API).

I’m starting the manual FB approval process now…I on;y wish there were clear instructions on that to follow with respect to what EXACTLY is needed for this plugin to work.

    barbarawebnauta

    (@barbarawebnauta)

No news for me. On the premium support they didn’t answer anymore for a month. It’s three month now that I must post manually on Facebook. In other topics and reviews I read that developers abandoned this project, but continued to hold plugin on sell. I’m very sad for this situation, but now I’m testing other plugins. I will not renew my subscription. ??
