That happens with a caching or SSL issue on the site. With page caching a cached page will get shown to the visitor so our plugin won’t get a chance to determine the users login status and then show the page accordingly. For membership type setup, you need the page to be generated dynamically.

So first make sure you don’t have any kind of page caching happening.
