I am getting a little concerned now.. I have Wordfence installed on my blog and thank goodness. There are people (perhaps) trying to constantly get into my blog and site using “admin” I increase the attempts to log in from 10 to 5 so many more seem to be getting locked out. But it concerns me that this is happening? This am I woke up to 27 attempts from all over the world of whomever trying to get into my blog.. Why I dont know its a sewing / fashion blog ??

Don’t worry, it’s not people, and it’s sadly normal.

What you’re experience is bot (or multiple bots) trying to get in with the old default WordPress username and common passwords. They aren’t targeting you specifically, rather they hit millions of sites each day.

If you aren’t using “admin” as your username, and if you’re using a good password, you have nothing to worry about. ??

They tend to come and go in waves, so it will stop for a while eventually.
