Constant File Change Warning emails

  • Each day at approximately the same time (15:50pm) I am receiving the iThemes Security ‘File Change Warning’ email.

    Added 1694
    Removed 2
    Modified 127

    I am not updating core, plugins and themes on a daily basis. What is causing me to receive these emails every day?

  • Looks like the resulting data from a previous scan is not being overwritten by the resulting data of the current scan. Which could point to a (MySQL) database issue.

    You are repeatedly receiving the mail because every scan calls the send_notification_email() method and this method will only abort when NO changes are found. So it keeps sending the email based on old scan results.

    To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes.
