• Hello!

I installed Online Backup for WordPress a few weeks ago (25th October) and it hasn’t yet successfully backed up my database. I’ve tried both scheduled and manual backup and every time it fails with errors. Please can you help? I’d like to update my version of WordPress but too nervous to do so without backing up my site.

I have the errors noted in my activity log if you’d like to see them away from this forum.

    Thanks very much,
    Karli.

    Hi Karli,

The backup has reached 133MB in size and then it failed to write any more data to the temporary backup file. This normally happens when the disk or quote is reached.

Check you’ve got enough spare space to backup everything (the plugin needs to copy everything to a temporary data file)

You could exclude some parts of your file system too to try reduce the backup size if needed. You’ll find the option for file system excludes on the General Settings page.

    Jason
