I go thru the setup step & get to the part where I “Create commerce account” and get an error of
We were unable to set up your Commerce Account due to an issue on our end. Please try again later.
Farcebook support are of no help whatsoever – they told me to contact woo-commerce despite it being their product & the error saying the problem is on their end

has anyone over come a problem like this or are there any alternatives to this plugin- I’ve wasted 2 days trying to get it to work

Hey @smarta-brett – you’re right, that is indeed something on Facebook’s end. I’d love to solve this for you, but we have no access to the Business Account part of Facebook to address this.

I get that it’s very frustrating, but Facebook support is really the best place for getting help on this. Can you try getting help here?

    yep – tried that

they were useless and said to contact WooCommerce

I insisted and said the error says it is ay you end

then I finally get an email saying they have escalated the issue but said they cannot give a timeframe – I don’t hold much hope!

I don’t use Facebook myself and I am doing this for a client (I built her website) – quick question

she has several Facbook Pages – should I maybe try to connect one of the others? – if I do can it be changed later?

    Hi @smarta-brett,

I don’t use Facebook myself and I am doing this for a client (I built her website) – quick question

It’s possible that the Facebook connection didn’t set up correctly due to permission.

Here are a few steps you can take to fix this:

    • Ensure that you are both the admin and owner of the Facebook assets
    • Confirm you have 2FA enabled for the Facebook account you are using

she has several Facbook Pages – should I maybe try to connect one of the others? – if I do can it be changed later?

You should be able to connect to the Facebook assets where you have ownership. It’s possible to change it later.

Let us know how that goes!
