• Hello –

I love the idea of this plugin but it doesn’t seem to work very well. It constantly shows errors in technical language or red text that is offputting to users, and literally every time I try to log in the first time, it says “Bad nonce” and reloads the page, after which it either works or gives another red error if the fingerprint read failed. If I try it in an incognito window it doesn’t give the option, which is fine since I assume it’s cookie-based, but instead it shows a “Secure context are required. You must have HTTPS and SSL enabled” notice even though the site is on HTTPS, and doesn’t make clear that it has anything to do with passwordless login, so to the user it just looks like there’s some random problem and tells them to use a supported browser. Not to mention that it doesn’t seem to integrate with the login form, or the login pages for plugins like WooCommerce.

Is this plugin in active development/maintenance? Is this the best place to post about bugs like this? The concept is great but the UX needs serious help, so I’m wondering if it’s just an experimental thing or if it’s an actual maturing plugin…

Is this plugin actively maintained? No one seems to be responding to support questions so if not I’d like to uninstall it. Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your message,

constantly shows errors in technical language or red text that is offputting to users, and literally every time I try to log in the first time, it says “Bad nonce” and reloads the page, after which it either works or gives another red error if the fingerprint read failed.

I will check it and release the fix,

I assume it’s cookie-based, but instead it shows a “Secure context are required. You must have HTTPS and SSL enabled” notice even though the site is on HTTPS, and doesn’t make clear that it has anything to do with passwordless login, so to the user it just looks like there’s some random problem and tells them to use a supported browser.

Plugin remembers authed users to local storage and it’s not available in Private mode, I will test it additionally.

Not to mention that it doesn’t seem to integrate with the login form, or the login pages for plugins like WooCommerce.

It’s planned, but I decided to try it for admins first because it’s really complex code and I will do it in future.

Yes, I am planning to support it and add new features.
